Preparing PRINCE CPVC Pipes & Fittings for Installation

Cutting : Cut CPVC Pipes to the desired length, ensure that the cut pipe and fitting are of compatible sizes. Cut the pipes as squarely as possible for proper bonding.

Debarring / Beveling : Ensure that the cut pipe is free from burrs and filings that might prevent proper contact. Burrs and filings should be removed from outside and inside of the pipes with a suitable file.

Chamfer : Chamfer the end of the pipe to facilitates entry into the fittings.

Solvent Cement Application : Wipe clean the pipe end and fitting with a dry rag. Use CPVC cement, applying an even coat on both, the top of pipe end inside the fitting socket.

Assembly : Rotate the pipe to a ½ turn after inserting into the fitting socket.

Set and Cure : Usually 10 to 20 minutes is the set and cure time for perfect joints, depending on the humidity and temperature conditions in open environment.
